नफ़रत की राजनीति नहीं, कानून का शासन चाहिए

प्रिय देशवासियों,

हाल के White Line विवाद ने एक गंभीर प्रश्न हमारे सामने खड़ा किया है—क्या अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता के नाम पर किसी धार्मिक समुदाय को अपमानजनक और भड़काऊ शब्दों से संबोधित करना स्वीकार किया जा सकता है?

हमारा उत्तर स्पष्ट है—नहीं।

लोकतंत्र में असहमति का अधिकार है, आलोचना का अधिकार है और प्रश्न पूछने का अधिकार है। लेकिन किसी पूरे समुदाय को “Jain Jihad” जैसे शब्दों से जोड़ना केवल आलोचना नहीं, बल्कि ऐसा विमर्श है जो सामाजिक सौहार्द को गहरी क्षति पहुँचा सकता है। शब्दों की भी जिम्मेदारी होती है, क्योंकि वे समाज को जोड़ भी सकते हैं और बाँट भी सकते हैं।

भारत का संविधान हमें अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता देता है, पर साथ ही बंधुत्व, समानता और सभी नागरिकों की गरिमा की रक्षा का भी संदेश देता है। किसी भी प्रकार की ऐसी बयानबाज़ी जो समुदायों के बीच अविश्वास, वैमनस्य या तनाव को बढ़ावा दे, लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों की भावना के विपरीत है।

यदि नागरिकों को यह प्रतीत होता है कि प्रसाद वेद पाठक के सार्वजनिक वक्तव्यों या सामग्री ने सामाजिक वैमनस्य, घृणा या धार्मिक तनाव को बढ़ावा दिया है, तो वे केवल सोशल मीडिया पर नाराज़गी व्यक्त करके न रुकें। संवैधानिक और कानूनी उपाय अपनाएँ, सक्षम प्राधिकरणों के समक्ष शिकायत दर्ज करें और शांतिपूर्ण लोकतांत्रिक माध्यमों से अपनी आपत्ति दर्ज कराएँ।

यह समय मौन रहने का नहीं, बल्कि जिम्मेदार नागरिक बनने का है। हम किसी व्यक्ति के विरुद्ध नहीं, बल्कि उस सोच के विरुद्ध खड़े हैं जो समाज को जाति, धर्म, रंग या पहचान के आधार पर बाँटने का प्रयास करती है।

आइए स्पष्ट संदेश दें—भारत में विचारों का संघर्ष स्वीकार है, लेकिन नफ़रत का व्यापार नहीं। बहस स्वीकार है, लेकिन समुदायों को बदनाम करने वाली भाषा नहीं।

कानून का सहारा लें।

सामाजिक सौहार्द की रक्षा करें।

नफ़रत को सामान्य मत बनने दें।

नफ़रत नहीं, न्याय।

विभाजन नहीं, संविधान।

उकसावा नहीं, उत्तरदायित्व।

अलीकडील व्हाईट लाईन वादाने एक गंभीर प्रश्न निर्माण केला आहे—अभिव्यक्ती स्वातंत्र्याच्या नावाखाली कोणत्याही समाजाविषयी चिथावणीखोर आणि विभाजनकारी भाषा वापरणे स्वीकारार्ह आहे का?

आमचे उत्तर स्पष्ट आहे—नाही.

लोकशाहीत प्रत्येक नागरिकाला प्रश्न विचारण्याचा, टीका करण्याचा आणि मतभेद व्यक्त करण्याचा अधिकार आहे. परंतु जेव्हा टीका अशा भाषेत केली जाते की ती संपूर्ण समाजाला उकसवणाऱ्या किंवा अपमानास्पद शब्दांशी जोडते—उदाहरणार्थ “Jain Jihad” सारखे शब्द—तेव्हा ती केवळ मतभिन्नता राहत नाही, तर सामाजिक सलोखा बिघडवण्याचा धोका निर्माण करते.

भारतीय संविधान अभिव्यक्ती स्वातंत्र्याचे संरक्षण करते, परंतु त्याचबरोबर समता, बंधुता, मानवी प्रतिष्ठा आणि सामाजिक ऐक्य यांनाही महत्त्व देते. सार्वजनिक संवादाने समाजाला जोडले पाहिजे, फोडले नाही.

जर नागरिकांना असे वाटत असेल की प्रसाद वेद पाठक यांच्याशी संबंधित सार्वजनिक विधाने किंवा सामग्रीमुळे द्वेष, सांप्रदायिक तणाव किंवा समाजात फूट निर्माण होण्यास चालना मिळाली आहे, तर केवळ सोशल मीडियावर प्रतिक्रिया देऊन थांबू नका. कायद्याच्या आणि संविधानाच्या चौकटीत राहून संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांकडे तक्रार नोंदवा आणि शांततापूर्ण मार्गाने आपली भूमिका मांडा.

आज गप्प बसण्याची वेळ नाही; जबाबदार नागरिक म्हणून उभे राहण्याची वेळ आहे. आपण कोणत्याही व्यक्तीविरोधात नव्हे, तर समाजाला जात, धर्म किंवा ओळखीच्या आधारावर विभागणाऱ्या विचारसरणीविरोधात आवाज उठवला पाहिजे.

भारत मतभेद स्वीकारतो, पण द्वेषाचा प्रसार स्वीकारत नाही. चर्चा मान्य आहे, पण संपूर्ण समाजाला लक्ष्य करणारी भाषा मान्य नाही.

द्वेष नव्हे, न्याय निवडा.

फूट नव्हे, संविधान निवडा.

चिथावणी नव्हे, जबाबदारी निवडा.

તાજેતરના વ્હાઇટ લાઇન વિવાદે એક મહત્વનો પ્રશ્ન ઉભો કર્યો છે—શું અભિવ્યક્તિની સ્વતંત્રતાના નામે કોઈ પણ સમાજ કે ધર્મને અપમાનિત કરતી અને વિભાજનકારી ભાષાનો ઉપયોગ સ્વીકાર્ય ગણવો જોઈએ?

અમારો જવાબ સ્પષ્ટ છે—ના.

લોકશાહીમાં પ્રશ્ન પૂછવાનો, ટીકા કરવાનો અને અસહમતિ વ્યક્ત કરવાનો દરેક નાગરિકને અધિકાર છે. પરંતુ જ્યારે ટીકા એવા શબ્દોમાં ફેરવાઈ જાય કે જે સમગ્ર સમુદાયને ઉશ્કેરણીજનક અથવા અપમાનજનક રીતે રજૂ કરે—જેમ કે “Jain Jihad” જેવા શબ્દો—ત્યારે તે માત્ર મતભેદ રહેતો નથી, પરંતુ સામાજિક સૌહાર્દને નુકસાન પહોંચાડવાની શક્યતા ઊભી કરે છે.

ભારતનું બંધારણ આપણને અભિવ્યક્તિની સ્વતંત્રતા આપે છે, પરંતુ સાથે સાથે સમાનતા, ભાઈચારો, માનવ ગૌરવ અને સામાજિક એકતા જેવા મૂલ્યોનું પણ રક્ષણ કરે છે. જાહેર ચર્ચા સમાજને જોડે તે જરૂરી છે, તોડે નહીં.

જો નાગરિકોને લાગે કે પ્રસાદ વેદ પાઠક સાથે સંકળાયેલા જાહેર નિવેદનો અથવા સામગ્રીથી નફરત, સામ્પ્રદાયિક તણાવ અથવા સમાજમાં વિભાજનને પ્રોત્સાહન મળ્યું છે, તો માત્ર સોશિયલ મીડિયા પર પ્રતિક્રિયા આપવી પૂરતી નથી. કાયદેસર અને બંધારણીય માર્ગ અપનાવો, સંબંધિત સત્તાધિકારીઓ સમક્ષ ફરિયાદ નોંધાવો અને શાંતિપૂર્ણ રીતે તમારી ચિંતા વ્યક્ત કરો.

આ સમય મૌન રહેવાનો નથી, પરંતુ જવાબદાર નાગરિક તરીકે ઉભા રહેવાનો છે. આપણે કોઈ વ્યક્તિ વિરુદ્ધ નહીં, પરંતુ એવી માનસિકતા વિરુદ્ધ અવાજ ઉઠાવવો જોઈએ જે જાતિ, ધર્મ અથવા ઓળખના આધારે સમાજને વહેંચવાનો પ્રયાસ કરે છે.

ભારત વિચારોના મતભેદને સ્વીકારે છે, પરંતુ નફરતના પ્રસારને નહીં. ચર્ચા સ્વીકાર્ય છે, પરંતુ સમગ્ર સમુદાયને નિશાન બનાવતી ભાષા નહીં.

નફરત નહીં, ન્યાય પસંદ કરો.

વિભાજન નહીં, બંધારણ પસંદ કરો.

ઉશ્કેરણી નહીં, જવાબદારી પસંદ કરો.

An Open Letter to the Citizens of India

The recent White Line controversy has raised an important question: Should freedom of speech be used as a shield for rhetoric that demeans or alienates entire communities?

Our answer is unequivocal: No.

In a democracy, every citizen has the right to question policies, challenge traditions, and express dissent. But when criticism crosses the line into language that labels or stigmatizes an entire community with inflammatory terms such as “Jain Jihad,” it ceases to be constructive debate and risks deepening social divisions.

India’s Constitution protects free expression, but it also upholds the values of equality, fraternity, dignity, and communal harmony. Public discourse should strengthen these ideals—not undermine them.

If citizens believe that statements made in the context of this controversy, including those attributed to Prasad Ved Pathak, have promoted hatred, inflamed communal tensions, or harmed social harmony, the appropriate response is not vigilantism or abuse, but lawful action through constitutional and legal channels. File complaints with the competent authorities, document concerns responsibly, and allow due process to take its course.

Silence in the face of divisive rhetoric only normalizes it. Speaking up—peacefully, responsibly, and within the framework of the law—is the duty of every citizen who believes in the idea of India.

This is not about suppressing criticism or debate. It is about drawing a clear line between legitimate dissent and language that targets entire communities or fosters hostility.

Let us send a united message:

Criticism is welcome. Hatred is not.

Debate is healthy. Demonization is not.

Differences of opinion are acceptable. Social division is not.

Let us stand together to protect the constitutional values that bind our nation.

Choose justice over hatred.

Choose the Constitution over division.
