KULPAKJ nahi kiI: MORE THAN A YATRA, A MEMORY WRITTEN TOGETHER

A Journey Written in Faith

Some journeys begin with a destination.
Ours began with faith.

From Mumbai to Telangana, our journey with the Jain Sangh unfolded over five days—through sleepless nights, sacred mornings, shared meals, prayers, laughter and moments that will stay long after the bags are unpacked.

We began our journey from Mumbai, travelling together towards Telangana. By the time we reached Kulpakji Tirth in the early hours, the fatigue of the journey seemed insignificant before the serenity of the sacred space.

Darshan. Puja. Bhavana. Chovihar.

The morning at Kulpakji was not merely a stop on an itinerary. It was the heart of the journey.

Kulpakji is not merely an ancient temple in Telangana. It is a living Jain tirth- a sacred space where centuries of faith continue to breathe. With the presence of Adinath, Neminath and Mahavir Bhagwan, and a Jain legacy stretching back over two millennia, standing there feels less like visiting history and more like becoming, for a moment, a part of it.

From there, the road carried us to Chaitanyapuri, where another night of fellowship awaited.

The next day brought a different rhythm. We stepped beyond pilgrimage and into the living culture of Hyderabad... its streets, its history and its unmistakable character. Charminar, the lustre of baroque pearls, and the colours and craftsmanship of Pochampally sarees and dress materials gave us another way of experiencing Telangana.

And then came the sacred crescendo.

The following morning began before sunrise as we journeyed towards Navagraha Tirth. The Shakrastava Abhishek, the Mahaa Aarti and the collective atmosphere of devotion transformed the morning into something deeply memorable.

Later, we continued towards the 52 Jinalaya—another beautiful chapter before beginning our journey back to Hyderabad station.

And somewhere between those temples, buses, trains and endless conversations, something else happened.

Strangers became companions.
Companions became memories.
And a journey became a story.

We returned to Mumbai with no grand announcement, no dramatic ending—just the quiet satisfaction of having lived something meaningful.

Because perhaps a pilgrimage is not only about reaching a sacred place.

It is about what becomes sacred along the way.

A prayer.
A friendship.
A moment of silence.
A shared meal.
A smile from a stranger.
A memory you didn't know you were making.

I began this journey to seek blessings.

I returned with gratitude.

Jai Kulpakji.
Jai Jinendra.
