Seventh Edition: “Hook, Line, Location — Writing Property Headlines That Do the Heavy Lifting”
Hey Word Warriors of Real Estate,
Let’s get real — most property headlines sound like leftover text from a builder’s brochure.
“Spacious 3BHK in Prime Location”
Yawn. Swipe. Lost opportunity.
But the right headline? That’s your digital salesman. It's the difference between "scroll past" and "schedule site visit."
This edition breaks down how to craft property headlines that stop thumbs and start conversations.
1. Lead with the Lifestyle, Not Just the Layout
Don’t say: "1BHK in Goregaon with Balcony."
Say: "Your Solo Sanctuary with Sunset Views — 1BHK in Goregaon East"
Emotion sells. Always.
2. Use Power Words + FOMO Triggers
Words that work: curated, exclusive, iconic, limited, hidden gem, last unit, insider deal
E.g. → “Last 2 Units Left in This Iconic Tower — Mulund’s Hidden Investment Gem!”
It triggers urgency and status — classic buyer bait.
3. Don’t Just Inform, Intrigue
Make people want to click.
Instead of: “2BHK in Gated Society”
Try: “What This 2BHK in a Secretly Luxe Society Offers Will Surprise You”
Think like Buzzfeed + Business Standard.
Bonus Tip: Test & Tweak
A/B test your headlines. Post two variations in Stories or as carousel covers. Watch what performs — the data never lies.
Final Word:
Your headline should be a verbal handshake — confident, clever, and clear.
Make them stop. Make them curious. Make them imagine living there.
Hook them right, and the location will do the rest.
See you in their DMs,
Nikhil Pattani
