108 Parshwanath: A Quest for the Hidden Divine | By Nikhil Pattani

They say some journeys begin with a plan, but the best ones? They begin with a calling. And that’s exactly what my journey through the 108 Parshwanath temples feels like—an adventure, a mystery, and a spiritual rollercoaster all rolled into one.

From the coastal charm of Diu to the historic heart of Junagadh, every temple I’ve explored so far has been a revelation. Quirky, ancient, and brimming with divine energy—each site has left me spellbound.

Here’s a sneak peek into some of the most intriguing stops on my 108 Parshwanath pilgrimage so far:

Ajahara Parshwanath, Una, Diu

Diu is known for its beaches, but hidden in Una is Ajahara Parshwanath, a temple radiating an almost magnetic spiritual energy. The moment I stepped in, the world outside ceased to exist. The silence? Deafening in the best way possible. The aura? Strong enough to make you pause and listen—not with your ears, but with your soul.

Some places you visit, others pull you in. Ajahara Parshwanath? Definitely the latter.

Dokadiya Parshwanath, Somnath

Somnath isn’t just about the legendary Jyotirlinga—it also cradles the enigmatic Dokadiya Parshwanath, a Jain treasure hidden in plain sight. The air here doesn’t just whisper history; it roars it.

There’s something about this place that feels like a time machine. One step in, and you’re transported into a world where devotion knows no bounds. The silence hums with stories, and the walls seem to hold secrets that only the truly devoted can unlock.

Chorvadiya Parshwanath, Chorvad (Hansmukh Parshwanath)

Tucked away in the coastal town of Chorvad, Chorvadiya Parshwanath—also known as Hansmukh Parshwanath—isn’t just another temple. It’s a vibe. There’s something lighthearted, almost playful, about this place.

Maybe it’s the air, maybe it’s the way the temple stands confidently amidst its surroundings, or maybe it’s just my mind playing tricks—but if temples had personalities, this one would be the wise old monk who also cracks the best jokes.

Navpallav Parshwanath, Mangrol

Imagine walking into a space where time slows down, and the only thing that matters is the feeling of peace settling into your bones. That’s Navpallav Parshwanath in Mangrol for you.

This temple isn’t loud, isn’t overwhelming—it’s quiet, unassuming, yet powerful in its simplicity. The kind of place where you don’t need to ask for clarity—you just receive it.

Baleaj Parshwanath, Balej, Porbandar

Porbandar gave us Mahatma Gandhi, but it also holds Baleaj Parshwanath, a temple that demands to be felt rather than seen. The moment I entered, I knew this place had stories to tell.

There’s something about its old-world charm, its silent strength, and its undeniable spiritual pull that makes it unforgettable. It doesn’t shout for attention—it just exists, powerfully so.

Siddhachakra Mandir, Patanvav, Junagadh

Some places feel like they’re charged with a different frequency, and Siddhachakra Mandir in Patanvav is exactly that. It’s not just a temple—it’s a powerhouse of spiritual energy.

Every moment here feels like a conversation between you and something greater. The divine presence is loud, but not in an overwhelming way—more like a knowing whisper in your ear, telling you that you’re exactly where you need to be.

Sheetalnath Jain Mandir, Vanthali, Junagadh

Vanthali’s Sheetalnath Jain Mandir is serenity personified. It’s that rare kind of place where even your thoughts take a step back to just be.

There’s no rush here, no urgency—just a quiet understanding that whatever answers you seek, you’ll find them in the stillness. It’s the kind of temple that doesn’t just leave an impression—it leaves an impact.

The Journey Continues…

This is just the beginning. Each of these temples has left its mark on me, but the road ahead is long—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Some people collect souvenirs, I collect experiences. And trust me, nothing beats the high of discovering another Parshwanath temple, another hidden gem of faith, history, and energy.

Because in the end, it’s not about counting temples. It’s about feeling them.
