A so-called dalal (Broker) a few years back has now evolved as a sophisticated businessman. From a very unorganised business to an absolutely structured and highly promising business firm and institution. Just 3 decades back 90% of the realty brokers would start their day at the Pan-Beedi shop for getting real time news on the updates of real estate in the locality, who is selling the property and who is buying. The next work would be casually visiting the seller and would introduce and know everything about the property to be sold and from the same source where he understood about the seller, will know about the buyer also and will approach him and convince… He is a very talkative guy and very informative too. He spends all the day networking, smiling with no rays of tension on his face. He spends money on his tea and coffee and offers it to a few strangers talking to him. He prays to the god to make one deal out of his convictions… he may not close deals every day, but he makes new friends every day. He goes empty handed on most of the days spreading happiness and news within the locality. Happiness prevails in the family of a broker, when one deal closes and also on the day he receives a lump sum amount of highly negotiated brokerage.
Today, a property Broker is a very well-educated person. Today he has his office and staff working on super contemporary gadgets like laptops and smartphones. Real estate broking now, is a professional business. The investment of time and money into business development, networking, infrastructure, Employees, training, and generating revenue for the company. His recognition in the real estate business is that of an expert. The builders and home seekers respect realtors now. The Brokers are the main source of revenue to the builder in this competitive times. The day of a broker today starts with choosing invitations from many property developers. Developers not only invite the broker for sales, but also to take their advice, feedback and feasibility study of their product. Brokers now easily can put forth queries and questions to either parties without any hesitation. He shows only selected and filtered properties to his clients. The brokerage / remuneration is now fixed or sometimes even enhanced in some cases . The Brokers are awarded and rewarded based on the performances. The only hitch faced even today by a broker is getting his remuneration on time.
The life of a Realtor may seem easy, but it is as complex as any other business, yet you will always see a Broker very happy and delighted while he interacts.
